Iam a survivor of domestic violence and coercive control over a period of 16 years . The above article is absolutely spot on and is actually how I felt after I finally left the marriage and began to open up to other people thank you

I went through every single thing in this article, for years. It’s the most accurate article I’ve ever read that describes my experience. I’m so glad there are people that understand. It made me realise that it wasn’t me, it wasn’t my fault. It was never my fault. I didn’t cause this behaviour or bring it upon myself. And I will keep healing and getting better every day.

Thank you. I am a survivor from what the judge called his most severe case. But I am alive and have the boys with me full custody. The trauma we are trying to aide now being 2yrs away from him is slow but working. Tku for being our voice. And tku for this writing. It is very true
